The USPDid you know by hiring a Celebrant you can hold your event anywhere (aside from a Church or a National Trust Property). This could be your home, a wedding venue, a stately home, boutique hotel, farm, orchard, vineyard, mountain, forest or even on the sea. Another advantage is you are not limited by time constraints and can have any special and memorable elements you want included in the service rather than being restricted by a Church service. Where there's the will there's a way .... or another way of putting it, is 'You are only limited by what you can think of'! I am based in Hampshire and happy to travel London/UK or overseas. (Please note you must be legally married by a Registrar before your ceremony with me).

RitualsAt your Ceremony you could also include rituals - this is particularly good if you want a number of people participating in your event. Symbolic rituals could include: Handfasting, Candle-lighting, Love Letter, Rose Exchange, Time Capsule, Jump the Broom, Tree Planting, Wine Box, Memory Box, Ring Warming or Guard of Honour. |
PricesPlease feel free to give me a call or email, to discuss any of your requirements or to get a feel for how I can help make your event the most special and precious possible. I will then be able to give you an idea of price. My quote given will be the amount you pay, there are no hidden extras (except where overnight travel is required). Please note the deposit of 50% is non refundable. |
About Me
A highly qualified and motivated professional with empathy and understanding who takes great pride in the joy and privilege of being a Celebrant.
Before becoming a Celebrant, I spent 14 years as the Editor of The Kensington Magazine in London. My career also includes work as a social historian, Head of HR in the City, and an anthropologist. I hold a BA Hons, MSc, and a Diploma in Celebrancy. My hobbies are sailing, playing tennis and gardening. I also run an event photography company, where I've had the honour of photographing members of the Royal Family and other VIPs. (lucyelliottphotography.com) I am very used to public speaking/presenting, having hosted events at prestigious venues such as Leighton House, The Design Museum, Kensington Palace and the Mayor's Parlour, Kensington & Chelsea.
All these roles have given me experience of meeting, understanding and empathising with people. I love hearing people's stories which I can craft to turn their day into something really unique. Whether that be for a Wedding, Naming Ceremony, a Later Life Wedding, or a Celebration of Life - Everyone deserves the very best.
